*tries to clear throat* well that was an interesting experience. I now understand why people used to drink rum all the time. It was to keep them warm. I am watching this movie called Australia and they were drinking it in the movie. And my sister explained to me that it was to keep them warm. It felt like fire running down your throat and sitting in your belly. And then you felt like you were gently roasting alive. I know thats not a good analogy but the only one heather gave me. The characters in the movie definitely looked slightly on fire when they drank the stuff.

Ok, so in the Ocarina of Time (oot) and Majora's Mask (mm) there's a place where you can go called the Milk Bar. The milk there is supposedly alcoholic so they won't let kids in but the song... is priceless. I go there sometimes just to listen to it. ^^

After thinking for some time about what I could do to celebrate my 22nd birthday (:o) and to do something out of the ordinary and celebrate finishing the first month of college, finally today everything came together. While Rosa and Cristina were at Abby's early birthday party, mom and I stopped by a little tea room and antique shoppe called The Vintage Tea Room. It is perfect!  I was so excited that I felt I had to write a post.

So, two weeks from today (on September 26th) at 3:30 in the afternoon, Cristina, Joanna, Holly, Bobbi (Blanca - a home-schooled friend who Cristina and I went to 'high-school' with for two years), Jaz (Jazmine - a music major friend I met my first semester at college), Emily, Rosa and my mom will gather and have a grand tea party. At this shop, there is a collection of dresses and shoes, so one dresses up in period costumes, including hats, and enjoys a meal, tea and desert. The tables each have old fashioned table cloths and the entire place is decorated

with quaint, period antiques. I so wish Tessi, Andrea, Antonia, Rachel, Anna, Sarah, Olivia and Katrina could join us! I think they would greatly enjoy such an afternoon. I shall try to put up pictures after the event.

Then, after tea, Joanna, Holly, Cristina, mom and I will come home and with Dad (and maybe Susana), watch a movie have cheese pizza, tres leches cake and have a toast of sparkling white wine and non alcoholic beverage depending on the person. We shall also watch the Presidential

debate, not because we are so into politics that we must call a party for the event, but at least three of we college students present need to watch it for classes at school (the girls can tell their teacher they had a party for watching the debate - just leave out that the reason for the party wasn't the debate).

Then, Saturday morning we will go to UTPA for the community day of Hispanic Engineering Science and Technology (HESTEC - http://www.hestec.org/index.cfm). There they shall have a NASA exhibit with a flight simulator and many other scientific activities.
